Exciting news!

We are creating a new science kit for Christmas – “STEM into Christmas”

With this limited edition Christmas Explore Box your little scientist will be the talk of the class, amazing their friends and families with Christmas Cards that pop up, change colour and release rainbows. As usual, the box contains everything you need to create scient-rific cards and the instructions will feature Meg and Pico, who are spending the festive period as elf-ing hands.

There will be lots of different sized kits available – from a two-card package to a 30-cards crate – so whether your little scientist likes to fill an afternoon with card-making or just wants to create a special one for Granny, we’ve got you covered.

Our Kickstarter campaign was a success. The cards are now available on our website. Click here to order.

Tell me more about the new kit.

Just like our other science kits, it’s a box of fun science activities. But this time each activity is the creation of a Christmas card that does some cool science thing. Your child gets the fun of making the cards and exploring the science that makes them work. Then they can share the science fun by giving these unique cards to their friends and family.

This sounds really cool. How do I get this kit?

At the moment the only way to get this kit is to make a pledge on our Kickstarter page.

You can order a box by going to the Kickstarter page, choosing which version of the box you want and making a “pledge”. No money is taken from your account at that time. Only if we reach our funding target is the money taken and we send you your kit.

The campaign starts on Tuesday 2nd October and when it does we’ll put the link here and on our Facebook Page. You can also sign up to our newsletter at the bottom of the page to stay updated.

What's Kickstarter?

Kickstarter calls itself “the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects”. It helps people and small businesses create exciting and innovative new products.

Why are you using Kickstarter for this?

We really like Kickstarter and have been interested in using it for a while now. It’s a really great way to help creative people and businesses make interesting new products. Because this is a limited edition and seasonal kit Kickstarter was definitely the way to go.

What happens if I pledge and you don't reach the target?

We’ll reach the target! But if we don’t then nothing happens, the money won’t even leave your account unless we reach the target.

When will I get it?

The kits will be sent out 29th November so you’ve got time to make them and give them out to your friends before Christmas.

Can I have this instead of my scheduled December box?

Absolutely. There will be an option when you pledge on Kickstarter to let us know that you are a subscriber and would like it instead of your usual box. Your subscription will then be put on hold for one month before continuing as normal.

Why is it called STEM into Christmas?

STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and maths, and it’s Christmas, and we want to thank you for the year.
